Taylor (Achilles) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Taylor ruptured his Achilles tendon in practice last Monday, so this move was essentially a formality. The 28-year-old was expected to be a big part of the Falcons' defensive line rotation, but he'll now work to bounce back and return next season.
