Let's look at some of the biggest movers, in terms of Average Draft Position, in 12-team standard leagues:
RISERS
Toby Gerhart, Jaguars: Jacksonville's new bulldozer soared a full round over the past month, going from Round 4's last pick to Round 3's final pick. Gerhart averaged 4.7 yards a carry and caught 77 passes backing up Adrian Peterson for four years. Every statement from Jags brass indicates Gerhart should get 300-plus touches in 2014. Jamey Eisenberg and Dave Richard rank Gerhart 18th among running backs, a mid-range RB2.
Cordarrelle Patterson, Vikings: The second-year wideout's ADP jumped half a round since June 18, rising from Round 5's sixth pick to Round 4's last pick. Credit (or blame) offensive coordinator Norv Turner, who's been devising plays for Patterson and raving about his improved route-running. Eisenberg and Richard rank Patterson 17th and 20th respectively among receivers.
Trent Richardson, Colts: The 2013 flop moved up six spots to 5:3 (Round 5, Pick 3) before settling in at his current ADP of 5:5. He says he understands the offense much better now, and Indy is doing everything it can to bolster his confidence. The depth chart looks thin behind him, with Ahmad Bradshaw and Vick Ballard coming off major surgeries. Eisenberg and Richard rank Richardson 24th and 28th respectively among RBs.
Jeremy Hill, Bengals: The rookie out of LSU surged a full round since June 12, from 9:10 to 8:10. The feeling is he's passed BenJarvus Green-Ellis as the complement to Giovani Bernard. Hill (6-1, 235) should see plenty of goal-line carries. Eisenberg and Richard rank Hill 44th and 45th respectively among RBs.
FALLERS
Doug Martin, Buccaneers: With concern growing about offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford's penchant for splitting the workload, Martin fell from 2:5 to 2:11 over the past month. Eisenberg still considers Martin an RB1, ranking him 12th, while Richard has Martin 14th.
Zac Stacy, Rams: The second-year back fell four spots over the past month, from 2:10 to 3:2. Tre Mason's arrival is causing worries, plus Stacy's schedule is not kind. In a mirror image of their Martin rankings, here it's Richard making Stacy his final RB1 and Eisenberg rating Stacy 14th.
Ray Rice, Ravens: It's obvious why Rice dropped more than a full round, from 4:11 to 6:2. He's staring at a multigame suspension due to his offseason assault charge. But there could be value here, especially if Rice only misses three games. He's in much better shape than he was last season when he averaged a career-low 3.1 yards per carry.
Reggie Bush, Lions: Despite Joique Bell's lingering knee injury, drafters are cooling on Bush. He dropped from 3:5 to 3:9 amid expectations Bell will lead Detroit in carries and Bush will focus more on receiving in Ben Lombardi's imported scheme. Eisenberg and Richard rank Bush 19th, a few spots ahead of Bell.
Bell is fully expected to be ready for training camp. If he's not, look for Bush's ADP to climb.
