Ansah (shoulder) is active for Thursday's game against the Bears, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Ansah will play through the shoulder issue that kept him limited in practice throughout the week, though fellow defensive end Kerry Hyder (coach's decision) will not be available to provide depth in the event of a setback.
