The Browns waived Jackson (illness) on Tuesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Jackson had been dealing with an illness that did not appear to be COVID-19-related for the past three weeks. While his release isn't directly related to his illness, the missed time certainly didn't help his case to make the roster. If he clears waivers it is possible the Browns will elect to sign him to their practice squad.
