Sherels (rib) is trending downward for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Sherels has been diagnosed with a fractured rib, which he suffered Nov. 20 against Arizona. Adam Thielen took over punt returning duties in Week 12's matchup against the Lions and will likely continue doing so until Sherels is back.
