Pastrnak inked a six-year, $40 million contract with Boston on Thursday, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.

Early indications were that Pastrnak was prepared to hold out and skip at least part -- if not all -- of training camp, but with a deal in hand, he will return from his native Czech Republic. The winger racked up 34 goals and 36 helpers over the course of 75 games last season and should be poised to do more of the same in 2017-18 while entrenched in a top-six role supplemented by power-play duties. Pastrnak's new deal with the Bruins carries an average annual value of $6.67 million, which is a very palatable cap hit for the team, considering that the dynamic 2014 first-rounder is just 21 years old and still possesses untapped potential.
