Leason was waived by the Capitals on Sunday.
Leason split the 2021-22 season between the Capitals and Hershey of the AHL. He had three goals and three assists in 36 games for Washington. Leason also earned six goals and 13 points over 31 minor-league contests with the Bears. He will be assigned to the minors if he clears.
