Leason notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Lightning. Leason has earned six points over 12 contests in March, providing a bit more offense than what would be expected for a bottom-six forward on a weak team. The winger also has 11 hits, 15 blocked shots and 13 shots on net this month. For the season, he's up to 21 points, 78 shots on net, 60 hits, 54 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating. Leason doesn't have great offense, but he adds a little bit of everything despite his limited role.... See More ... See Less

Ducks' Brett Leason: Goal, assist in victory
Leason picked up a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-0 win over Chicago. Leason extended Anaheim's lead to 2-0 midway through the second period, beating Arvid Soderblom with a wrister on the rush before adding an assist on Alex Killorn's tally later in the frame. Leason had gone scoreless in his previous four games after scoring a pair of goals on March 12 against the same Blackhawks team. The 24-year-old winger is up to 11 goals and 20 points through 56 games this season in a bottom-six role.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Scores both goals in loss
Leason scored twice on three shots and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 7-2 loss to the Blackhawks. Leason opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal midway through the first period, and he added another tally early in the second. After that goal, the Blackhawks scored six straight to run away with the game. With four goals and two assists over his last eight outings, Leason is doing all he can to keep his place in the lineup. The winger has 10 tallies, 18 points, 72 shots on net, 54 hits, 47 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 51 contests this season.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Gathers helper in win
Leason provided an assist and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Senators. With the Ducks missing a number of key forwards, Leason served on the second line and actually saw ice time in line with that assignment (17:41). The 24-year-old has more often been in a bottom-six role this season, though he's occasionally been listed on the second line as well. He has four points over his last five outings and 16 points, 67 shots on net, 52 hits, 44 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 48 contests overall.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Nets shortie Thursday
Leason scored a shorthanded goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Sharks. Leason has three points over two games since he returned from a six-game stint as a healthy scratch. The 24-year-old's tally Thursday gave the Ducks a 2-1 lead in the first period. Leason is far from a lock for the lineup, though he could benefit if the Ducks offload forwards at the trade deadline, as long as he's not one of the players on the move. Leason is up to eight goals, 15 points, 65 shots on net, 49 hits, 39 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 45 appearances. His tally Thursday was his first career special-teams point.... Ducks' Brett Leason: Checks in with two points
Leason scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, added three hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Predators. Leason had been scratched for six straight games, and he played like he didn't want to go back to the press box any time soon. The 24-year-old helped out on Isac Lundestrom's second-period tally before scoring a goal of his own in the third. Leason has been okay for a bottom-six forward with 14 points, 61 shots on net, 48 hits, 37 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 44 appearances this season. He was in the lineup due to Troy Terry (upper body) being held out. Leason likely won't do enough to help in fantasy, but he could push Ross Johnston or Max Jones out of the lineup.... See More ... Ducks' Brett Leason: Set to return Saturday
Leason (upper body) will return to the lineup Saturday against San Jose, Alyson Lozoff of Bally Sports West reports. Leason missed the Ducks' previous two games. He has six goals, 12 points, 37 hits and 30 blocks in 36 outings in 2023-24. Leason is projected to serve on the third line in his return, while Benoit-Olivier Groulx will be a healthy scratch.... Ducks' Brett Leason: Won't play against Capitals
Leason (upper body) won't be available for Tuesday's matchup against Washington, according to Alyson Lozoff of Bally Sports West. Leason will miss his second consecutive contest. He has six goals, 12 points, 49 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and 37 hits across 36 appearances this season. Leason's next opportunity to play will be Saturday versus the Sharks.... See More ... Ducks' Brett Leason: Unavailable Monday
Leason (upper body) won't play Monday versus the Panthers, Alyson Lozoff of Bally Sports West reports. Leason will miss at least one game after being injured in Saturday's 5-1 loss to Tampa Bay. He has six goals, 12 points, 49 shots on net , 30 blocked shots and 37 hits across 36 appearances this season. Leo Carlsson (knee) will replace Leason in the lineup against Florida.... See More ... Ducks' Brett Leason: Sustains upper-body injury
Leason (upper body) won't finish Saturday's game versus the Lightning. Leason was checked hard by Emil Martinsen Lilleberg in the second period, which ended the Anaheim winger's night. Leason has 12 points over 36 outings in a middle-six role this season. If he can't suit up Monday versus the Panthers, Brock McGinn will likely replace Leason in the lineup.... See More ... Ducks' Brett Leason: Opens and closes scoring
Leason scored two goals, blocked four shots and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Golden Knights. Leason has maintained a middle-six role in recent weeks, earning four goals and three assists over his last 12 games. The 24-year-old opened the scoring at 3:23 of the first period Wednesday, then added the last goal late in the second period. Leason is up to six tallies, a career-high 11 points, 44 shots on net, 34 hits, 23 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 30 appearances. He may have some fantasy value in deep formats.... Ducks' Brett Leason: Produces assist in win
Leason managed an assist and two PIM in Monday's 4-3 win over the Red Wings. Leason has three points over his last four games while taking on a larger role in the Ducks' middle six. The 24-year-old winger spent much of the first two months of the season on the fourth line. Leason is up to nine points, 38 shots on net, 31 hits and a minus-2 rating through 27 appearances. He's still unlikely to produce enough offense to be helpful in standard fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Opens scoring Friday
Leason scored a goal on six shots in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Rangers. Leason opened the scoring at 13:30 of the first period, but that was the only goal the Ducks put past Jonathan Quick. With four points over his last seven games, Leason has made good on a promotion to a middle-six role after beginning the campaign on the fourth line. He's at eight points, 38 shots on net, 30 hits and a minus-2 rating through 25 contests. The Ducks will likely shuffle lines again when Mason McTavish (upper body) and Trevor Zegras (lower body) return, which is likely to cause Leason to drop down the lineup once more. Still, the 24-year-old Leason has probably done enough recently to stay out of the press box once the team returns to full strength.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Adds apple in loss
Leason notched an assist and two hits in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Islanders. Leason helped out on Adam Henrique's second-period marker. The 24-year-old Leason has been trusted with more ice time lately, playing no less than 12:43 in any of his last six outings. He's at seven points, 32 shots on net, 29 hits, 13 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 24 outings overall. With no clear path to a power-play role, Leason's still not doing enough to be considered in most fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Two points against old team
Leason scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Capitals. Leason was a leader on offense for the Ducks on Thursday, though he wasn't able to contribute to a win over his former team. The 24-year-old has three points over his last two games, which may help him gain traction in a fourth-line spot. Leason is up to six points, 24 shots on net, 21 hits and a plus-1 rating through 19 contests overall.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Gets on scoresheet with assist
Leason produced an assist and two hits in Sunday's 8-2 loss to the Oilers. Leason needed that point -- he'd been scratched in three of the last five games amid a scoreless stretch dating back to Oct. 28. The winger is up to four points, 21 shots on net, 20 hits, 10 blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-1 rating through 18 appearances. Even when he plays, he rarely sees more than fourth-line minutes, so Leason does not make for a strong option in most fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Tallies in win
Leason scored a goal, dished out two hits and added two PIM in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Flyers. Leason has scored twice over the last three games. The 24-year-old fourth-liner saw a season-high 13:46 of ice time Saturday, and it appears he's building some security to stay in the lineup as the Ducks work with managing Leo Carlsson's build-up into a full-time NHLer. Leason has three points, 13 shots on net, 14 hits and an even plus-minus rating through eight contests.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Finds twine Tuesday
Leason scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blue Jackets. Leason's tally with 3:47 left in the third period forced overtime. The 24-year-old forward has two points, 11 shots on net, nine hits and five blocked shots over six contests in a fourth-line role. He hasn't been scratched yet, but Leason could be at risk of exiting the lineup sometimes when Leo Carlsson, who is sitting out occasionally during the first half of the season, is in the lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Provides assist Sunday
Leason registered an assist and four shots on goal in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes. Leason has shown a willingness to shoot with six shots on net through two games this season. He's still in a fourth-line role with limited ice time, so there's little reason for fantasy managers to keep a close eye on his production. Leason had just nine points in 54 outings in 2022-23, and he adds very little physicality.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Brett Leason: Supplies sixth goal of 2022-23
Leason tallied a goal in a 5-4 overtime loss to Colorado on Sunday. Leason has six goals and nine points in 54 contests this season. Anaheim has used him sparingly in 2022-23, providing him with an average of just 10:54 of ice time, so his limited offensive contributions aren't surprising. Leason also isn't a lineup staple, having been a healthy scratch four times over Anaheim's last seven games.... See More ... See Less
