Capitals' Daniel Sprong: Goal and assist Friday

Sprong gave the Capitals a 2-0 lead in the second period, and he added a helper on Alex Ovechkin's empty-netter in the third. With four points in his last four games, Sprong has done well in a more significant role. The 24-year-old winger has 10 points, 63 shots on net, 20 hits and a plus-5 rating in 26 contests.
