Atkinson scored a goal on four shots, logged three hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Canucks.
After a 10-year career with the Blue Jackets, Atkinson was traded to the Flyers this offseason. It didn't take the 32-year-old long to get his first goal in orange and black, tallying at 12:17 of the second period in his team debut. Atkinson is set to play in a top-six role with his new team, which gives him a chance to get back to the 50-point mark after posting 60 points in 100 games across the last two abbreviated seasons.
