Varlamov (undisclosed) won't be available for Saturday's game against Arizona or Sunday's match versus Vegas, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Varlamov has been practicing with the Islanders of late, so it seems likely that he'll be an option for next Saturday's game against the Predators. Ilya Sorokin will continue to operate as the Isles' No. 1 netminder until Varlamov is ready to make his season debut.
