PGATOUR.com Relaunches June 21, Providing Fans New Level of Tournament and Player Coverage

Golf’s No. 1 Web site offers new look, wealth of enhancements

Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., June 20, 2005 - PGATOUR.com, the No. 1 web site in golf, will relaunch Tuesday, June 21, taking fans even closer to PGA TOUR events and players. Already the exclusive home to PGA TOUR live scoring and multimedia, the new PGATOUR.com will give fans a new level of access to the game.

“PGATOUR.com is a sizable and growing media platform for us to entertain PGA TOUR fans,” said PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem. “By providing unprecedented access to the PGA TOUR’s players, tournaments, and scoring information, PGATOUR.com will give fans an unparalleled golf experience.”

Fans love to interact with TOUR players, and each week players will answer fans’ emails, discuss the upcoming week’s event, and provide diaries that will give fans an inside look at life on the PGA TOUR. PGATOUR.com also will take fans inside the ropes for each event, with news, photos and quotes straight from the course, the range and the clubhouse.

“I already use PGATOUR.com for live tournament scoring and PGA TOUR news, but the new site is even better,” said David Toms, an 11-time PGA TOUR winner. “It is the ultimate resource for any golf fan.”

The only source of live PGA TOUR tournament scoring, PGATOUR.com’s new leaderboards go even further, adding live text play-by-play for all players, exclusive ShotLink player and hole data, and integrated scorecards. Fully customizable, PGATOUR.com’s leaderboards will allow fans to control the way they follow events and provide live information that fans never had access to before.

“The goal is to give PGA TOUR fans the best information to follow events,” Paul Johnson, PGA TOUR Vice President of New Media. “There are approximately 30 hours of live competition outside of the television coverage each week, and PGATOUR.com enables fans to remain intimately informed of all of the action at all times. With the new site, fans will be even better informed and more interested in the sport overall through unique, enhanced, deeper coverage of the game and the players.”

Even more enhancements will soon follow, including an expanded player information area and enhanced course access, with exclusive imagery, graphics and information about that week’s course.

“By giving fans more information about the course, they have more context about the event,” said Lee Bushkell, General Manager of PGATOUR.com. “The course changes every week; we take fans visually to the tournament as well as provide information about why this week’s event is interesting and important. Stay tuned, we have a full slate of enhancements scheduled for release over the next two months."

PGATOUR.COM is co-produced by the PGA TOUR and CBS SportsLine.com, a leading Internet sports media organization and a part of CBS Digital Media.
