Nationals 1B/OF Tyler Moore is off to a promising start in his bid to make the team's roster. Moore collected two more hits Thursday against the Mets to raise his spring average to .500 (8 for 16) through six games.

Moore has multihits in four games. He also has one triple, one home run, four doubles and seven RBI. Moore is out of minor-league options and would be subjected to waivers if he doesn't make the roster.

“I just feel good at the plate. Really just trying to slow the game down,” Moore said, per The Washington Post. “Kind of got a new approach. Not trying to move a whole lot at the plate, not trying to do a whole lot, and just seeing the ball a lot better. It’s paying off.”
