It's a good thing NFL officials get a preseason, because apparently, they need it as much as the players do.

During the second quarter of the Rams' 21-20 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday, referee Tony Corrente made a tiny mistake: He mixed up Los Angeles and St. Louis.

Well, I hope that's what he did because the only other option is that he didn't even know that the Rams moved to Los Angeles, which would be kind of weird because that kind of made some big headlines when it happened.

Anyway, after calling a penalty on Rams defensive back Lamarcus Joyner, Corrente announced that "No. 20 from St. Louis" was to be ejected from the game.

As you can imagine, Rams fans in L.A. did not take kindly to Corrente's comment. After he made the mistake, he was showered with boos, which you can hear starting around the 13-second mark in the video below.

Chiefs' wide receiver Jeremy Maclin was also ejected from the game. Here's another video of the call.

By the way, the good news for Corrente is that this most recent mix-up was probably a lot less embarrassing than the time he got caught cussing on the hot mic during a December game between the Panthers and Falcons.
