The Angels optioned Adams to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
Adams has gone 5-for-32 (.156) with zero extra-base hits and 14 strikeouts through his first 15 major-league games this season. Kyren Paris was also optioned back to Salt Lake on Thursday as Jared Walsh and David Fletcher return to the big-league roster.
