Hosmer is out of the lineup Sunday against the Giants.
Hosmer finds himself on the bench for the second straight game to close out the season for the Padres. The 31-year-old could still make an appearance off the bench Sunday, but if not he'll end 2021 with a .270/.337/.396 slash line, 12 homers, 65 RBI and 53 runs in 564 plate appearances.
