Red Sox's Christin Stewart: Signs minors deal with Boston

Stewart joined the Red Sox as a non-roster invitee Tuesday.

Stewart has appeared in 157 career major-league games, homering 15 times while slashing .225/.300/.376. The 28-year-old spent this past season with Triple-A Toledo, where he slashed .254/.339/.538 but struck out 29.2 percent of the time.
