Perez landed on the minor-league injured list with a right shoulder capsule defect Tuesday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Perez's return timeline is not yet clear, but the injury could be serious. He'll meet with Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Thursday, after which his timetable may be clarified.
