Sano (knee) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
It's not exactly clear why Sano was moved to the longer of the two injured lists just a few days after landing on the 10-day IL, but according to the report, "the Twins found something on his MRI." Sano will not be eligible to be activated until Sept. 28, so his season may very well be over.
