Wade is getting his first start in center field in the Arizona Fall League on Friday, LoHud's Chad Jennings reports.
It has been obvious for a while now that Wade, a shortstop by trade, would have to switch positions or be a utility player if he remained in the Yankees system. Didi Gregorius is under contract through 2019 and Gleyber Torres is a superior shortstop prospect, so the Yankees are making sure Wade is comfortable, not only at second base, where he has more than 80 games of professional experience, but in the outfield.
