Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis: Plans to play Tuesday

Porzingis (leg) said he expects to play Tuesday against the Nuggets, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Porzingis was a limited participant in practice Monday, but his lower-leg contusion isn't believed to be anything too significant. Interim coach Kurt Rambis said that the team would make a decision on Porzingis' status following morning shootaround, but for now, the rookie sensation looks to be trending toward availability Tuesday. His potential return would result in Derrick Williams heading back to a bench role.
