Knicks' Mindaugas Kuzminskas: Will return to bench role Monday

Kuzminskas will return to the bench for Monday's game against the Pistons, Pistons radio play-by-play announcer Mark Champion reports.

With Carmelo Anthony (knee) and Lance Thomas (hip) missing Saturday's game against the Spurs, Kuzminskas drew into the starting lineup at small forward and posted an impressive 19 points, one rebound and two assists across 36 minutes. While Thomas remains out and could allow Kuzminskas to see more playing time than usual, Anthony's return will send him back to the bench and likely means a drastic drop from the 36 minutes he saw on Saturday. The Knicks may try and get some of their younger players some extra opportunities over the last few weeks of the season, so Kuzminskas could be someone to keep an eye on despite the recent demotion.
