Suggs won't require surgery for his fractured right thumb and will be re-evaluated every two weeks before a target date for his return is established, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Surgery would have required a longer-term absence for Suggs, but the Magic are seemingly optimistic that that rookie guard can return to action at some point in late December. While Suggs is out, Gary Harris, R.J. Hampton, Mychal Mulder and Terrence Ross could all benefit from increased minutes.
