Goodwin is expected to sign a second 10-day contract with the Nets on Saturday, Chris B. Haynes of ESPN.com reports.

Goodwin's initial pact is due to expire after Friday's game against the Wizards, but the 22-year-old has shown the Nets enough over his week and a half with the team to warrant another deal. Despite seeing only 13.3 minutes per game over three appearances, Goodwin is filling the stat sheet with marks of 8.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists, while shooting 58.8 percent from the field. The 22-year-old's talent has never been in question, and if he can display more consistent shooting over the second 10-day deal, he could be signed through the remainder of the season.
