Irving (shoulder) will not be available when the NBA season resumes in Orlando in July, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Few details have emerged since Irving underwent surgery on his right shoulder in early March, but Wojnarowski confirmed Friday that the procedure was, indeed, season-ending. Even with a lengthy delay, Irving will set his sights on a return to action to begin the 2020-21 season, which is currently slated to begin in December. Brooklyn expects to have Kevin Durant (Achilles) available to make his Nets debut at that time, as well.
