Nelson (calf) won't play in either of the Nuggets' final two regular season games, Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports reports.
The Nuggets will opt to sit their veteran point guard for the remainder of the season after being eliminated from playoff contention, likely in order to give some of their younger guards extra run. Nelson will finish the season averaging 9.2 points, 5.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds across 27.3 minutes per game while drilling 38.8 percent of his three-point attempts. In his stead, Jamal Murray and Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle) will likely be the main beneficiaries of his absence.
