Hart became a restricted free agent Saturday, as he was extended a qualifying offer by the Pelicans, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.
Hart is a unique role player as a 6-foot-5 guard with excellent rebounding abilities. Last season, he saw 28.7 minutes per game and averaged 9.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists. However, he's not an especially efficient scorer, as he shot just 43.9 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from three and 77.5 percent from the free-throw line. Wherever he ends up, it would be surprising if he managed to crack 30 minutes per game. There's a chance he'll end up with a contender and see a reduced workload compared to the last couple of seasons.
