Asik has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Rockets.
Asik is still dealing with the lingering effects of a bacterial infection and will miss yet another game. He's yet to be given any timetable for a return and should continue to be evaluated on a game-to-game basis until the Pelicans suggest otherwise. He won't be included in coach Alvin Gentry's rotation once he returns to full strength.
