Thompson (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Warriors.
Thompson will miss an eighth straight game due to a right ankle sprain. Per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, the rookie isn't close to returning, but the team hasn't released an official return timeline, so Thompson is still considered day-to-day. In his absence, Jeff Green, Jae'Sean Tate and Aaron Holiday are candidates for increased roles.
