Dort underwent successful surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder Tuesday and will miss the rest of the 2021-22 season, Andrew Schlecht of The Athletic reports.
Dort has been sidelined the past eight games by the injury and will now be unavailable for the final month of the season. The 22-year-old finishes the campaign with averages of 17.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.9 steals in 32.6 minutes over 51 games, and he's expected to be fully recovered for the start of the 2022-23 season. Tre Mann, Aaron Wiggins and Aleksej Pokusevski should continue seeing increased run down the stretch for the Thunder.
