Towns scored 33 points (14-27 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT) while adding six rebounds, two assists and a steal in 39 minutes during Sunday's 123-109 loss to the Pelicans.
While the second-year center scored at least 30 points for the fourth time in the last five games, he wasn't able to contain either Anthony Davis or DeMarcus Cousins on the defensive end as New Orleans' twin towers shot a combined 60 percent (18-for-30) from the floor Sunday. Towns has blossomed as a genuine fantasy superstar this season, but as yet his production isn't translating into wins for Minnesota.
