Newsome (knee) is out for Sunday's game at Cincinnati, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The exact nature of Newsome's knee injury is unknown at this point, but the Browns could just be playing things safe with a wild-card spot already guaranteed. Without Newsome, Cleveland will likely lean more heavily on rookie fifth-rounder Cameron Mitchell at corner in Week 18.
