Byrd worked out with the Giants on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Byrd signed with the Panthers this offseason but was later released from injured reserve with a settlement after he suffered a hamstring injury. If signed, the 30-year-old could add a new element of speed to a Giants offense that has struggled all season.
