Jackson became a free agent Thursday after he went unclaimed off waivers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

After Jackson was cut by the Rams on Tuesday, none of the league's 31 other teams were willing to take on the remaining money on the 34-year-old's expiring $2.75 million contract. Now that he's available on the open market and is able to sign at a more palatable salary, Jackson should have at least a few suitors for his services. In his limited opportunities with the Rams prior to being let go, Jackson proved that he's still capable of being a big-play threat; three of his eight receptions this season have gone for 40-plus yards.
