Harris is expected to see increased pass-rushing opportunities in 2022 due to Detroit's transition to a 4-3 base defense, Mike O'Hara of the Lions' official site reports.
Harris notched 7.5 sacks and 16 QB hits while playing mostly as an outside linebacker in Detroit's 3-4 system in 2021. Not only should he get more work at defensive end going forward, but the departure of Trey Flowers combines with the recovery of Romeo Okwara (Achilles) to possibly make Harris the team's most reliable pass rusher to open the season.
