The Packers placed Abbrederis on injured reserve Monday due to a thigh contusion, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Despite a spate of injuries within the Packers' receiving corps that past two seasons, Abbrederis has been unable to make inroads, totaling 10 catches (on 18 targets) for 119 yards across 15 games during that span. With his placement on IR, he could be activated for the final two games of the season, but running back Eddie Lacy (ankle) and Sam Shields (concussion) are better candidates to get the call.
