McCaffrey (hamstring) will be a limited practice participant Wednesday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

McCaffrey was limited all of last week, too, before receiving a doubtful designation and eventually being inactive for Sunday's loss the Eagles. Though McCaffrey is starting Week 6 in similar fashion as the last, head coach Matt Rhule is hopeful that the running back will demonstrate enough progress in practice over the next three days to play for the first time since Week 3, according to Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site. One positive sign is the fact McCaffrey is practicing in full gear Wednesday, per Newton, but he'll have two more sessions to put himself into a position to suit up this weekend versus the Vikings.
