Matthews was signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Matthews missed all of the 2022 season due to a torn ACL and joined Carolina's practice squad in late October after proving himself healthy. The veteran tight end should provide extra depth with Stephen Sullivan currently dealing with a shoulder injury.
