The Vikings placed Wonnum (quad) on injured reserve Wednesday.
The fourth-year edge rusher tore his quad in the Week 16 loss to the Lions and is obviously done for the season. Wonnum was having a breakout season under first-year DC Brian Flores, playing a career-best 83 percent of the defensive snaps and matching his previous career high with eight sacks. He's scheduled to hit free agency in March.
