Top NBA on MLK Day picks

One of the top 2021 MLK Day NBA picks the model recommends: The Bucks cover as two-point favorites on the road against the Nets. Milwaukee enters Monday's matchup having won seven of their last eight games. The Bucks have also dominated the Nets away from home, winning eight consecutive meetings against Brooklyn on the road.

The Bucks feature the NBA's second-ranked scoring offense, averaging 120.2 points per game this season. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been the catalyst for Milwaukee's explosive offense, averaging 26.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Khris Middleton, a two-time NBA All-Star, is also having a strong season, scoring 21.8 points while grabbing 6.5 rebounds and dishing 5.5 assists per game.

Milwaukee has also been great from behind the arc, knocking down 41.1 percent of its 3-point attempts, which ranks second in the league. In addition, the Bucks have dominated this series over the years, winning 14 of their last 17 meetings against the Nets. Brooklyn's defense, meanwhile, ranks 22nd in the league, giving up 113.1 points per contest.

SportsLine's model says Antetokounmpo and Middleton will combine for nearly 50 points on Monday, resulting in the Bucks covering the spread in well over 50 percent of simulations.
