Former NBA player Jack Haley died Tuesday at the age of 51 of heart disease. Haley played for multiple teams in his nine-year career including the Lakers, Bulls, Spurs and Nets. Haley averaged 3.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per game in his career. Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak issued a statement on Haley's death.
"Jack was a hard worker and always very professional. He was proud to wear the Lakers uniform, and he was always a credit to our organization and the Lakers family. Our condolences go out to his family and friends at this time."
Phil Jackson, one of Haley's former coaches, also expressed his feelings:
