The Arizona Cardinals are losing another key piece of their offense. The team is placing former Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz on injured reserve after he suffered a quad injury during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, according to NFL Media. The plan is for Ertz to return to the field at some point this season, per the report.

Ertz, 33, has caught 27-of-43 targets for 187 yards and one touchdown this season. While his numbers aren't prolific, Ertz has been a consistent performer this season. He's caught at least two passes in each game and caught six passes on three occasions.

Ertz is the latest significant Cardinals player who is dealing with an injury. Quarterback Kyler Murray hasn't played this season as he continues to recovery from an ACL injury. Reportedly, the plan is for Murray to make his season debut in Week 10 against the Falcons on Nov. 12.

Arizona has also been without former Pro Bowl running back James Conner since he was placed on injured reserve two weeks ago with a knee injury. On a positive note, Pro Bowl safety Budda Baker recently returned after missing five games with a hamstring injury.
