49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman's 2014 season could be over before it even started. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, there is a "real possibility" that Bowman will miss the final seven games of the season due to a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee, which he suffered during last season's NFC Championship game.

Bowman underwent surgery in February and has been experiencing knee pain recently, which is why the 49ers have yet to activate him from the physically unable to perform list. He underwent an MRI earlier in the week, which checked out "fine," but now it appears his season is in jeopardy. If Bowman isn't cleared to practice by Nov. 18, he won't be able to play the remainder of the season.
