SportsLine Europe Launches Sports.com

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL and LONDON, UK (August 3, 1999)- SportsLine Europe Limited announced today the launch of sports.com (http://sports.com), the new home of sports sites for fans of European sports. The first of sports.com's sites, football.sports.com (http://football.sports.com) is dedicated to live sports coverage and real-time information of the world's most popular sport for European sports fans. football.sports.com offers the richest array of live scoring, timely information, and real-time statistics for soccer throughout Europe.

SportsLine Europe, a majority-owned subsidiary of SportsLine USA (NASDAQ:SPLN), was established to create individual Web sites designed to provide focused coverage of European sports to local audiences as well as displaced fans around the world.

football.sports.com is the first of a series of sports.com sites that will launch in the coming year. The sites will be created both for major European sports like rugby, Formula One and cricket, and for individual countries, like the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. All the sites will offer sponsorship, fantasy games, e-commerce and community.
