Per manager Mike Scioscia, Pujols (foot) is scheduled to run the bases Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for his Cactus League debut Friday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.
Scioscia also stated that he hopes the veteran slugger can log two at-bats in Friday's contest. Pujols' status for Opening Day still isn't completely clear, but if he can get through his first appearance without any issues, there's a decent chance that he could get ramped up enough in time for the season opener.
