Brewers' Jonathan Villar: Heads to bench Saturday
Villar is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs.
Villar will head to the bench for a third straight game after stringing together five consecutive starts in center field to start the month. While he is a respectable 5-for-16 over that stretch, his defense was rather shaky, leading manager Craig Counsell to turn back to Keon Broxton as his center fielder. With Broxton drawing three consecutive starts in center, including two against the division-leading Cubs, it looks as though he may have taken primary starting duties back from Villar.
