Stroman (9-13) allowed four earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three across five innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox.
Stroman held Boston scoreless through three innings; however, he allowed consecutive doubles, which resulted in one run in the fourth frame. One inning later, he surrendered two homers in the span of three batters to ruin his outing. Stroman hadn't allowed a home run in his last five starts entering Tuesday, and he had maintained a 3.07 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 29.1 innings in that span.
