Castro (2-1) pitched two scoreless innings and allowed just one walk, earning the win Wednesday versus Arizona.
Castro kept Arizona off the board in the seventh and eighth innings. Pete Alonso put the Mets ahead in the top of the ninth, and Edwin Diaz converted the save. Castro owns a 2.66 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB across 23.2 innings, He's also collected four holds and blown a pair of save chances along the way, and he should continue to be in the mix for high-leverage work.
