Harvey (elbow) will start his season in low-level affiliated games, possibly in the Gulf Coast League, and will gradually climb the organizational ladder, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.

He is roughly 10 months removed from Tommy John surgery, and therefore not particularly close to game action. However, it sounds like he will be able to get some action against rookie level hitters in early July, and then possibly climb to a full-season league before the end of the year. Once one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, Harvey has dealt with so many arm injuries in recent years that the Orioles won't be ready to take the training wheels off until 2018 at the earliest.
