Morrow (shoulder) signed a minor league contract with the Padres on Thursday that includes an invitation to spring training, Corey Brock of MLB.com reports.
Assuming Morrow passes his physical, he will join the Padres looking to earn another shot at a rotation spot in 2016. The 30-year-old pitched well in 2015 over a limited sample size, posting a 2.73 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 23 strikeouts in 33 frames. However, he continues to be plagued by injuries, and will need to stay healthy to have any shot at sticking with the club.
